Environment
As a manufacturing company in the renewable energy industry, we are extremely conscious not just about our own impact on the environment, but it is the very core of our mission statement. Therefore, we invest in Research & Development of flue gas cleaning technologies to be able to equip our boiler systems with the latest technologies and reduce carbon footprints. Justsen has also designed and developed its own bag filters to contribute to cleaner air.
We recognize that managing environmental impact is an integral part of our business activities. The key principles to guide our work activities:
- to comply with the relevant environmental legislation
- to identify and manage our significant environmental impacts
- to take action to prevent pollution, which may occur as a result of our operations
- to use renewable energy in our business activities and encourage our suppliers to do so too
- to monitor environmental performance and set new targets
We use renewable heat and power in the headquarters and production facility in Aarhus. The company’s website is made CO2 neutral to neutralize the carbon emissions from both the website and the users of the website.
It is our responsibility to improve environmental performance and fight climate change continually.
Contributions
Justsen has always supported humanitarian causes through various non-profit organizations and movements. Every year Justsen allocates a certain amount of funds for donations.
Recent contributions:
- Familier med kræftramte børn (Families with children with cancer) to raise awareness and support families who struggle with covering all needs of children with cancer;
- Pens for Kids to provide the most basic school supplies for underprivileged children in Africa;
- Hurricane Relief Fund, set up by Gildan in partnership with the Choloma Chamber of Commerce, to help both Gildan employees and their communities to recover from the damage left by hurricanes Eta and Iota in Central America.
Sponsorships
We at Justsen are passionate about promoting an active lifestyle and supporting young talents in sports. Over the years, Justsen has been sponsoring clothing for several youth sports teams, for example, ØBG Silkeborg U12 boys and Spentrup IF Handball U-12 girls team.
In season 2021/2022, Dalum IF football club’s U13 & U14 girls teams can enjoy a brand new set of sports clothing sponsored by Justsen. Both are high performing teams and defending champions in their respective leagues.
Justsen is also proud to be sponsoring Mads Lund Jensen, young talent in Go Cart Racing, who achieved notable results already at the Dansk Super Kart 2019 in Grindsted.
